Meet our team
We are the Yamaguchi Prefectural Women's Lacrosse Team YPULAX. We currently have 11 members, including players and team staff, and we are practicing every day for the summer league!
Although we are a small team, we aim to be a team where each member can play an active role. This year, we formed a joint team with students from Yamaguchi University and competed in a league match. Last year, we participated in the rookie tournament as a joint team and achieved third place in the nation.
This is my first time participating in the Sashiire Project, and my motivation for doing so was that I wanted more people to know about the Yamaguchi Prefectural University Women's Lacrosse Club.
Lacrosse is still in its infancy as a college sport.
Our club is located in the Chugoku-Shikoku area, which is a minor area in the Japanese student lacrosse world.
Just buying all the equipment is expensive, and on top of that, there are club fees, travel expenses, and other expenses, which puts a heavy burden on club members who are also juggling part-time jobs and schoolwork. Some members even use equipment that was passed down to them by their seniors.
If the equipment is not perfect, the players will not be able to perform to their satisfaction.
Our club practices every day on the university grounds, but the environment is not very good, and even though we take great care in managing our equipment, balls still end up going missing.
We chose lacrosse balls as a set item to help students progress smoothly through their daily practice and individual training.
We are a small team and we need your help!
Thank you for your support.
