Meet our team
Osaka Public University Men's Softball Club.
In 2022, Osaka Prefecture University and Osaka City University merged to form Osaka Municipal University. The men's softball team also merged with the university, and the team has been working hard at practice as one.
Currently, we have a total of 20 members, including 9 first-year students, 5 second-year students, 5 third-year students, and 1 fourth-year student. In last year's autumn league, which was the first year since the integration, we won the second division block, but unfortunately lost in the second division final and the first-division relegation match, and ended up remaining in the second division.
Using that disappointment as motivation, we won the second division block for the second consecutive year in this year's fall league, and won the second division final to win the second division championship, which led to promotion to the first division and a place in next year's Western Japan Intercollegiate Championships. With the goal of making it to the top eight in next year's Intercollegiate Championships, the students will continue to practice hard every day.
Project Objective
Our club is focusing on strengthening our defense, so we practice hitting for more than an hour every day.
Although we take good care of the balls, they are already wearing out quite quickly. Also, since we were promoted to the first division this fall, we have many practice matches, tournaments, and trips planned. Therefore, the club fees collected from the members are not enough to cover the purchase of equipment, and we are in a financially difficult situation.
Therefore, through this project, we would like to ask for your help! Using the balls provided, we will practice at a higher quality to achieve our goal, and we hope to repay everyone who has supported us with results.
We will create a new history for the Osaka Municipal University Men's Softball Club, so please support us. We look forward to your CHEER UP!
