Meet our team
Hello! We are the Niigata University of Health and Welfare's baseball team! We belong to the Niigata District University Baseball League, and currently have 22 players and 4 managers, making a total of 26 members.
The team is run primarily by students, and all members, including the coach, are students. As a team run only by students, we work to win in a limited environment! Our goal as a team is to make it to the top four in the national tournament, and with this goal in mind, we are preparing for the spring league starting in April, which will lead to the national tournament in the summer!
It snows during the winter and the cold weather means we can't practice as much as we'd like, but we're all working hard as a team, never losing sight of our determination to win!

Project Objective
The major issues facing softball are a lack of environment, equipment, and funds. Many of our club members live alone, and all of them pay club fees and other baseball-related expenses while juggling their studies and part-time jobs. We want to avoid players quitting baseball due to the financial burden.
However, there are transportation costs for tournaments and games, participation fees, accommodation fees, uniform and cleats fees, monthly club fees, registration fees, and because our club does not have its own grounds, we also have to pay for the grounds. Now that we have been selected to participate in a higher-level tournament, we will have to pay additional out-of-pocket expenses such as participation fees, accommodation fees, and travel expenses. However, now that we have been selected to participate in the national tournament, as we continue to practice and play in future games, our equipment will deteriorate and we will need to buy new equipment.

Because we are not a designated training club, we do not receive much support from the school. Because of this, we have recently had to collect additional club fees in order to maintain our club activities, and even if we try to keep spending to a minimum, this creates a vicious cycle that makes life difficult for the club members, and we are in a very difficult situation. As we are now reaching a point where we cannot cover our expenses with club fees alone, we have decided to participate in this project in the hope of receiving your support.
For the sake of the families of the team members and other people who support us on a daily basis, we will work harder than ever in practice and games to give back to them with results. We would be very grateful if you could continue to support us in order to improve the status of softball.

All the members of the club are looking forward to your cheers! Thank you very much!
