Meet our team
Hello! This is the Iwate University Semi-Hardball Baseball Club! We belong to the Tohoku District University Semi-Hardball Baseball League, and currently have a total of 25 members, including 23 players and 2 managers. The manager and coach are also students, so we are a student-led team.
The club members have a variety of aspirations, such as "I want to continue playing baseball in college," "I have no experience in baseball, so it's difficult to try hardball," "I want to focus on my studies and part-time jobs as well as baseball," "I want to expand my circle of friends," and "I want to win my first semi-hardball game and have fun," and they discuss and work hard every day to achieve these aspirations! Another characteristic of the club is the friendly relationship between seniors and juniors! First of all, all the members are practicing hard so that we can win the spring league held in April and May and achieve "promotion to the first division"!
Project Objective
Lack of funds and equipment is a major issue for club activities at universities. Many of our members live alone, and all of us have to balance our studies, club activities, and part-time work to cover club fees and other expenses. In order to reduce the financial burden as much as possible, we continue to use equipment that is barely usable and reduce the frequency of practice matches and other activities to the bare minimum. That being said, we still have to buy new equipment every year, especially balls. In addition, there are various expenses involved, such as transportation costs, rental car fees, and facility fees for expeditions, and registration fees for tournament participation.
We receive support from the school, but that alone is not enough. That's why we decided to participate in this project, hoping for your support and cooperation. We will work hard every day in practice, and hope to repay everyone who has supported us by winning promotion to the first division. We would be grateful for your support, not only for our semi-hardball baseball team, but also for the development of student baseball. All the members of the team look forward to your CHEER UP!
