Meet our team
Osaka Public University Men's Softball Club.
With the merger of Osaka Prefecture University and Osaka City University in 2022, the men's softball club will also merge, and the teams will practice together as one under Osaka Public University.
In the fall league last year, which was the second year since the merger, the team won the second division, which earned them promotion to the first division and the right to participate in the Western Japan Intercollegiate Championships. However, in the spring league, they were unable to perform as expected against the first division teams, and ended up being demoted to the second division, and their goal of participating in the Intercollegiate Championships was not realized.
Using that disappointment as motivation, the team won the second division block for the third consecutive year in this year's fall league, and then won the second division final to become second division champions, once again securing promotion to the first division.
We are aiming to remain in the first division in next year's spring league, which we were unable to achieve this year, and to compete in the Intercollegiate Championships, with the students taking the lead in practicing every day with the goal of making it into the top 8 in the Western Japan Intercollegiate Championships and the top 16 in the Intercollegiate Championships.
Project Objective
Our club is focusing on strengthening our defense, so we often have more than an hour of practice on weekdays. We take good care of the balls, but they are already wearing out quite quickly.
In addition, since we were promoted to the first division again this fall, we have many practice matches, tournaments, and trips planned. Therefore, the club fees collected from members are not enough to cover the purchase of equipment, and we are in a financially difficult situation.
Therefore, through this project, we would like to ask for your help! Using the balls provided, we will be able to practice at a higher quality to achieve our goal, and we hope to be able to give back to everyone who has supported us with positive results.
We will be creating a new chapter in the history of the Osaka Public University Men's Softball Club, so please support us!
