Meet our team
We are the Teikyo University Men's Lacrosse Team, CAVARIERS.
Lacrosse is a sport in which players use a stick called a crosse to carry a ball to a goal. It is known as "the fastest sport in history" and is a beloved national sport in Canada.
We are currently in the Kanto Lacrosse League Division 3, with the goal of being promoted to Division 2. We currently have over 30 members, all of whom have a clear goal and a sense of ownership as they work hard every day practicing to achieve that goal.
Two years ago we were sadly defeated in the promotion match, and last year we had two wins and three losses in the league, which was a very disappointing result.
This year, we will do our best to achieve promotion to the second division with the offensive play that is characteristic of Teikyo, so please support us.
Project Objective
Historically, we, the CAVARIERS, have been in the top four in the Kanto region at one time or another.
However, recently the team is thin and there are not many connections with alumni, their families, or people from other universities.
That's why I decided to participate in CHEER UP! in the hope that many people will learn about the charm and fun of lacrosse and spread the sport more widely around the world.
In addition, in this year's new team structure, the players are thin and easily lose when they come into contact with opponents during games, so we recognize that ``building up their physiques'' is a particular challenge.
The current situation is that we lack the physical strength and muscle power to withstand rigorous training. Since our team is smaller than other universities, we thought that if we could receive individual gifts from everyone, we would be able to conduct high-quality training in a fulfilling environment and solve our problems.
We hope that through these special items, we can further strengthen our connections with those who support us and also help them discover the appeal of lacrosse.
This year, we will definitely achieve promotion to the second division and practice to the best of our ability so that we can give back to everyone with visible results. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
