Currently, the Shiga University Semi-Hardball Baseball Club has 32 members, including 25 players and 7 managers. We belong to the Keishiga Semi-Hardball Baseball League, and some of our players have never played high school baseball.
We believe that enjoying baseball seriously every day suits our team's character, so we operate under the team slogan, "Enjoy playing baseball, and win at the same time."
While enjoying baseball, the team has not been able to achieve the results they wanted since 2019. In order to change this situation, we have been working towards becoming a winning team, and although it has been gradual, we have been able to improve our ranking in this year's spring league. The team has also been restructured, and we are practicing hard every day to bring back the strong Shiga University Education.
Project Objective
The reason why I decided to participate in this project is because I wanted to strengthen my practice in preparation for the league. You can't play baseball without a ball. Therefore, we purchase balls regularly with the limited club funds, but the reality is that it is financially tough because we also have other expenses besides balls.
Also, at the moment, it is difficult to say that there are enough balls for everyone to practice satisfactorily.
If we can get some success through this project, we would like to create a training environment that will allow the players to practice even harder in order to defeat the private universities and win the league championship, and help boost the Keishi Semi-Hardball Baseball Association.
It also serves as an opportunity for us to reaffirm that we are able to carry out our activities thanks to the support of many people, and I believe it allows us to carry out our activities with a sense of gratitude.
We will be posting pictures of the players practicing with the balls provided and their performance in the league, which is the result of their practice, on social media. We want to aim for the league championship together with you all, so we look forward to your cheers!
