Meet our team
Muroran Institute of Technology's university baseball team is currently in the second division of the Hokkaido Student Baseball League and is working towards promotion to the first division.
Despite being promoted to the first division for the first time in 32 years in the fall of last year, the team finished 6th in the first division in the spring league this year, and was demoted to the second division after losing in the promotion/relegation match, which was disappointing. However, we accepted this result and are determined to return to the first division, so we are working even harder in practice and matches.
In addition, all of our practice menus, deciding the order, tactics, and schedules for practice games are done by students, and we value communication between team members as we practice every day to achieve our goals.
Project Objective
We receive almost no support from the university, so a lack of funds is our biggest problem. We participate in tournaments and purchase practice equipment by collecting high tournament fees and travel expenses from all members. However, since almost all members live alone, these expenses are a huge burden, and many students balance their studies, part-time work, and club activities. In order to earn club fees and living expenses, some members have no choice but to prioritize part-time work, and are unable to participate in practice or practice matches. If this project can help reduce the financial burden even a little, we hope that many people will support us so that we can get closer to our goal of promotion to the first division league.
