CHEER UP! for Kochi University Baseball Team

Our Kochi University baseball club belongs to the Shikoku District University Baseball League, and currently has 43 members, including 39 players, 2 student coaches, and 2 managers.

As a team, we are practicing hard every day with the goal of participating in the Jingu Stadium. However, we were disappointed when we were demoted to the second division in last fall's league. From there, the team made a fresh start and achieved promotion to the first division in the spring league, taking a step forward toward our goal. We will work hard to overcome the difficult situation of having to go back and forth between the first and second divisions many times and achieve our goal.

This fall, we are aiming to finish third or higher in the first division, and are working hard at practice while keeping in mind the things we did well and the things we did wrong in the spring league. We will also do our best to reach our big goal of playing at Jingu Stadium.

Project Objective

Many of our students are from outside the prefecture and live alone, so they balance their part-time jobs with club activities.
We cover club fees and travel expenses with the money we save from part-time jobs. However, we were promoted to the first division in the spring league and will be playing in the first division from the fall league onwards, so we expect that our activity expenses, including travel expenses, will increase more than ever before.

In addition, we plan to increase the number of external matches, such as OP games, in order to compete in the first division. However, this will lead to deterioration of equipment and an increase in the consumption of game balls, which will not be covered by the current club expenses and support from related parties alone. This will result in more time for part-time work, etc., and will prevent us from concentrating on baseball, which is counterproductive.
We want to avoid this situation and focus on baseball with the goal of finishing at least third in the fall league and qualifying for the Jingu Tournament in the spring league. Therefore, we have applied for this project in the hope of receiving your support.

With your support, we will not only play with all our might and determination on every pitch, and show you the lively play that only student baseball can offer, but also hope that through our activities we can give dreams and hope to young boys and girls playing baseball all over the country, that even those who are not in a favorable environment can participate in a national tournament.
