Meet our team

The Tenri University Men's Judo Club practices hard every day with the goal of becoming the best university in Japan in team matches.

With the support of many people, we work hard at our daily training and dormitory life, and our goal is to achieve our goal of becoming number one in Japan, and give back to those who support us on a daily basis.

Although we disappointingly finished in third place at the 2022 All Japan Student Judo Championship, we were able to achieve our long-cherished goal of becoming number one in Japan at the All Japan Student Judo Weight Class Team Championship in the same year.

This year, they are aiming to win a double crown by regaining the title at the All Japan Student Judo Championship for the first time in 30 years and winning the All Japan Student Judo Weight Class Team Championship for the second consecutive year.

Many of our graduates are Olympic athletes and athletes who are active at the forefront of the judo world. We also produce many talented people who are active in other industries, such as teachers and company employees, in addition to judo.

Project Objective

The aim of this project is to connect with many people who we would not normally have contact with.

At Tenri University, located in the isolated city of Tenri, the number of people you can connect with is limited.

Therefore, through this project, we aim to connect with those who want to support the Tenri University Judo Club but cannot, or who want to attend practice sessions but cannot.

The product that we are requesting to be distributed this time will be consumed by athletes during matches at the All Japan Judo Championship, which will be held from June 24th.

I will carry the hopes of all those who have participated in my one-on-one matches with me and give it my all in each and every match, striving to become the best in Japan.
