Meet our team
Our University of Tokyo Athletic Association Softball Club is a member of the Tokyo University Softball Federation, and recently won the second division in the fall league and was promoted to the first division.
Now that they have achieved promotion to the first division, which has been their goal for the past few years, their next goal is to participate in the Intercollegiate Championships for the first time in six years.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of our club, and 15 players and 3 managers practice 4 days a week while balancing their studies. There are no coaches, and all club activities, including coming up with practice menus, are managed by the students themselves.
Many players join the club as beginners, but they teach each other and work together to improve everyone's level.
Project Objective
We practice 3-4 hours a day, 4 days a week, and use many balls. The balls we use for practice have become damaged, with the skin peeling off and becoming soft, and the number of balls we can use for practice is decreasing.
In order to compete in the first division next spring, where there are many strong teams, we need to grow even more and practice with high quality. Therefore, we applied for this Sashiire project to let more people know about the University of Tokyo softball club, and we hope to receive support in the form of balls from all of you who support us.
I will practice hard using the balls I received and will definitely repay you by participating in the Intercollegiate Championships. Thank you for your support. I look forward to seeing you all there!
