Meet our team
The Sendai University Baseball Club belongs to the All Japan Baseball Federation and the Tohoku District University Baseball Federation!
We currently have 21 members, including 19 players and 2 managers!
The team is run by students, with all the coaches and managers being students themselves!
Being a team run solely by students has many advantages and disadvantages, but we work hard every day to win!
[Tournament Results]
・Participation in the 2021 First National Softball Baseball Championship
・2023 3rd National Rubber Ball Baseball Championship Best 8
Project Objective
Currently, university softball faces major challenges including a lack of funding, equipment, and environment.
Most of the members of the Sendai University baseball team live alone, and balance part-time work, classes, and club activities, while still paying club fees and other baseball-related expenses. In this situation, we believe that we should improve the current situation in which players are quitting baseball due to financial burdens.
However, there are costs involved in tournaments, such as transportation, participation fees, accommodation, equipment, and club fees. Last year, we participated in the national tournament, and we had to pay a huge amount of money out of our own pocket for travel, accommodation, and participation fees. With each practice and match, our equipment deteriorates, and we don't have enough equipment to split between practice and matches, so we need to buy new equipment.
Because of the above, we have to collect club fees from our members, which has created a vicious cycle that is making life difficult for our members, and we are in a critical situation. There are many areas that cannot be covered by club fees or support from the school, so we have decided to participate in this project in the hope of receiving your support.
I would like to give back to all the people who support me on a daily basis, and to those who support and encourage me, through my play and results! I would be very happy if you could support me in order to improve the status of softball.
All the members of the club are looking forward to your cheers! We look forward to your support!
