Meet our team
Hello! This is the Meiji University Men's Softball Club. Thank you for visiting our page. We have a total of 26 members, including one new fourth-year student, seven new third-year students, 15 new second-year students, and three managers. All club activities, including the manager and coaches, are run by students. As we are a student-only team, there are some limitations, but we practice hard every day, learning by trial and error.
We belong to the Tokyo Softball Association and are currently working towards our goal of being promoted to the first division. Last year, we were disappointed to miss out on promotion to the first division in both the spring and fall leagues. We made it to the second round of the Intercollegiate Championships for the first time in several years, but we were unable to achieve our goal of competing in the Intercollegiate Championships. This year, we are working hard as a team to earn promotion to the first division and a place in the Intercollegiate Championships.
Of course we want to win, but since most of our team members start playing softball in college, we also strive to create an environment where they can enjoy playing softball. We are currently in the middle of practicing hard for this year's spring league.
Project Objective
Our club collects club fees from members, but these are mainly used for ground fees and tournament participation fees, and we are in a situation where we cannot allocate the club fees to equipment. Also, because we usually have university classes, we practice at night, so we spend a lot of money on lighting.
With the new generation, we have increased the number of practice days and members, which has resulted in a rapid consumption of balls. For this reason, we have decided to use the balls as the prize this time and participate in the Cheer Up! Project. We will use the balls we received carefully in practice, and will definitely achieve our goal of participating in the Intercollegiate Championships and being promoted to the first division. We would appreciate your support. Thank you very much!
We look forward to your CHEER UP!
