Meet our team
Founded in 1924, our club is a historic athletics club that is now in its 99th year. We have about 80 members, the largest number among university Rover Scouts in Japan.
We usually meet once a week and have a monthly committee meeting, and are active all over the country, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, focusing on camping activities and volunteer work.
Together with their friends who have shared food, clothing and shelter, encouraging each other through difficult times, they interact with the world and other universities through scouting activities.
Project Objective
The team will hold a summer training camp in Hokkaido from late August to early September, covering 166.3 km over a 10-day period.
This summer camp is the culmination of all the training they have accumulated so far, and on the final day there will be a ceremony where the new students will join the force.
In addition, all members of the club are working hard, carrying the hopes of their seniors who were unable to carry out their activities as they wished due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, we are having difficulty obtaining gas canisters and drinking water, which are essential when camping.
Not only will they be walking long distances in the scorching heat, which puts them at high risk of heatstroke and other physical conditions, but they are also planning to use campsites that do not have running water, so they are expected to face serious water shortages.
Using the items donated by everyone, we hope to overcome the shortage of gas canisters and water and have a fulfilling summer training camp.
We look forward to your cheers! Thank you!
