Meet our team
We, the Doshisha University Athletic Association Rubber Ball Club, belong to the All Japan University Rubber Ball Association and the Kansai Six Universities Rubber Ball Association, and we practice every day with the goal of winning the national championship.
Currently, our club has 34 members, including 32 players and 2 managers.
Although we unfortunately fell short of winning the 2023 Spring League, finishing in second place, we participated in the Kansai Block Tournament, held at the end of June and held for the second and third place teams from the Spring League of the four Kansai region federations, and won the tournament, qualifying our club to participate in the national tournament for the first time in four years.
At the national tournament, we won our first match and made it to the top 16. The autumn league ended and the new team started. All the members are more determined than ever to practice every day, with the regret of not being able to win at the summer national tournament in their hearts!
Project Objective
Our club receives a great deal of support from many quarters, including alumni, members' families, and other related parties. Through these gifts, all of us at the club once again feel grateful to those who support us and to be able to play baseball, and we promise to give back with results.
In addition, softball baseball is still a minor sport compared to hardball baseball. That is why we want more people to learn about the sport of softball baseball through this project.
Currently, we have many issues with batting. Therefore, in order to win the national championship, we are focusing on batting practice, so balls and bats are inevitably worn out quickly. We will carefully use the personal items we receive from your support in practice and games. We look forward to receiving lots of CHEER UP! from you all! Thank you very much!
