Meet our team
Keio University HUSKIES is an ultimate club at Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus.
We practice every day with the motto "Strong, Fun, Huskies!"
Their best results to date include winning the Student Championship in the Open Division (2006) and coming in third in the Student Championship in the Ladies Division (1997). The team has a long history, having been founded over 30 years ago.
In addition, some of our players have gone on to compete on the world stage, including representing Japan.
This year's team's slogan is "challenger" and both the Open and Ladies teams are aiming to compete in the finals of the student championships!
Project Objective
Thank you to everyone who supports the Huskies in various ways every day.
Although we are just a "club," we all come together with one mind and practice four days a week with the goal of competing in the national tournament.
What drives me is my strong desire to bring to the main tournament my peers and juniors who have shared the good times and the bad, my seniors who have taken care of me, and the OGOB members who come to practice in between their busy work schedules.
The Huskies are made up of students from only two faculties at Keio University who attend SFC.
Therefore, although the number of members is extremely small compared to other ultimate teams, they are trying to balance their practice with their studies, extracurricular activities, and part-time jobs.
We would like to use the jelly that you will support through the Cheer Up Project to help these students replenish their nutrition, prevent injuries, and improve their performance.
Also, because discs are consumable items, we would appreciate your support so that we can improve the quality of our daily practice sessions and practice in a way that is as close as possible to the actual competition.
Although ultimate is still a minor sport, the Huskies are working to get local people involved in promoting ultimate, such as by giving ultimate lectures to elementary and junior high schools around the school, and they hope to continue to work hard to spread the word about the sport in the future!
Through this project, we hope to convey the feelings of all of you who support the Huskies and ultimate to our players!
