Qualified to participate in the 55th Kiyose Cup All-Japan University Semi-Hardball Baseball Tournament (3rd representative from the Kansai region)
Hanazono University's semi-hardball baseball team belongs to the Kyoto-Shiga Six Universities Semi-Hardball Baseball League. Although the team has only 13 members, they won the league this spring with a 100% win rate, and fought fiercely in the Kansai Championship and Kansai Secondary Tournament, achieving the great feat of participating in the Kiyose Cup.

Project Objective
The reason we participated in this project is because we are unable to purchase practice balls due to lack of funds. In our regular practice, we use worn-out balls that have no seams, are blackened and slippery, which puts strain on the shoulders and elbows of many members, causing them to injure themselves. Of course, we collect club fees every month, but the money is being used up on other expenses.

For example, because regular practice is conducted in a small space where the infielders can barely fit together for defensive practice, the club regularly has to rent a ground in the city, and the money is used to pay the expensive league registration fees (200,000 yen for a team, 13,000 yen for individuals), as well as to buy team equipment, leaving almost no money left in the club funds, making it difficult for the club to buy expensive balls for practice.
We do sometimes buy new balls for practice matches, but we try to extend the life of the balls by wiping them clean and using them over and over again until they break, in order to reduce costs.

If you would support this project, we would be very grateful. It will help prevent injuries and further motivate our members. We have a small number of members and no substitute players, so even one injury would have a big impact on our performance at the national tournament. We participated in this project with the hope of preventing injuries to the shoulders and elbows, which are prone to injury.

Our team carefully keeps a notebook with all the balls we use in our regular practice, including tee balls and balls for knocking, and is careful not to lose even one ball. Therefore, we will never carelessly use the balls we received, and all the members of the team will use them with gratitude. Although this was a long message, we hope to convey our feelings. Please give your support to the Hanazono University Semi-Hardball Baseball Team.
We look forward to your CHEER UP!
