School Introduction
Our school is a historic institution in Izumiotsu City, located in the southern part of Osaka Prefecture. In 2024, we will celebrate our 80th anniversary and have 310 students.
The most distinctive feature of our school is the grass in the schoolyard. By having a grassy schoolyard, the temperature is about 3 degrees lower than in a normal playground, even in the hot summer, and children are less likely to get injured.
Every year in early June, students, teachers, staff, and local volunteers plant potted grass seedlings in the schoolyard.
We maintain our lawn every year and make sure to keep it well maintained.
Project Objective
Maintaining schoolyard grass requires replanting grass in areas that have died each year.
Every year in early June, students, teachers, staff, and local volunteers plant pots of grass in the schoolyard and help maintain the lawn.
Therefore, we need to spend a lot of money to purchase pots for the grass every year. Therefore, we would like to use the potted seedlings that you have planted to maintain and improve the grass in the schoolyard.
Through this project, we hope to help people learn more about Hama Elementary School and deepen our interactions with all of our supporters, parents, and local residents.
We look forward to your CHEER UP!
