Meet our team
The Hokkaido University semi-hardball baseball team is in the Hokkaido District Division 1 League and works hard every day with the goal of winning the spring league and autumn tournament.
Although they came in second in this spring's league, falling just short of winning, they were able to qualify for the All Japan Championships for the third consecutive year.
The strength of Hokkaido University Semi-Hardball is the good atmosphere. Baseball is born from a sense of unity where everyone enjoys baseball, and each individual plays to their full potential in any situation, with the coach, players, and managers all covering for each other to create the game. At the national tournament, we will enjoy baseball as much as we can and win one victory!
Project Objective
We have a large team of nearly 50 players and managers every year. We practice six times a week, and sometimes we run out of balls, especially for practice matches on Saturdays and Sundays. We thought that if we could get more balls, the quality and efficiency of practice would improve, and it would help us build a team that can compete nationwide.
In addition, the popularity of semi-hardball baseball has been increasing in recent years, and we wanted to contribute to raising the profile of semi-hardball baseball in Hokkaido, so we wanted to participate in this project to spread the word to as many people as possible. We want more people to know about semi-hardball baseball, and even Hokkaido University's semi-hardball baseball, and make our activities even more fulfilling!
