Meet our team
Okayama University Softball Club currently has 13 members, including 4 first-year students and 9 second-year students. Practice is 3 days a week.
Okayama University Softball Club is a historic team that has a track record of coming in third at the All Japan University Championships. Last year, they made their 12th appearance at the All Japan University Championships, their first appearance in four years.
However, we lost the first game in a walk-off, which was a very disappointing result. Therefore, this year we are practicing hard every day with the goal of participating in the All Japan University Championship for the second consecutive year and winning one more game.
The team practices according to the captain's training menu. In addition to improving individual skills, we also try new things every day to improve teamwork. We try to practice efficiently despite the small number of players. Our next tournament is the Chugoku District Autumn Tournament.
This tournament is a tournament where seeding rights for the Intercollegiate Qualifiers are at stake. First of all, we are currently practicing and playing practice matches so that we can get that seed right!
Project Objective
The Okayama University softball club currently has about 30 balls that can be used for practice. Since the club has a small number of members, 13, buying balls is a big expense. Before tournaments, the club often travels outside the prefecture. This makes it difficult to raise the money to buy balls.
I feel that practicing with 30 balls is very inefficient. In terms of batting, we only do it in one place instead of two, and the rotation of the ball is slow in terms of knocking, so it's not a good environment. We practice using each ball carefully.
We will treat every ball you give us with care and practice! We need your cooperation to get even stronger from now on! We are grateful to everyone who helps us out in various ways! Please continue to help us out!
